Welcome to The Digest. I got tired of "missing things" online and figured that you probably have too. I also have always thought that it would be great to have a place where you can look ahead to see what to expect next week, and be able to take a look back on the week that just passed. So, that's what The Digest is. A new weekly section here on TGC (with a new edition every Friday) that I have been wanting to do for a long time. A single place for all the important news, both past and upcoming, that, as a geek, you should, and would want, to see. A nice neat section to help you keep tabs on things.
In addition, there is also a new section just for great deals, called The Deal Bot, which will be updated right as I find them.
I hope you like them as much as I do. And so without further adieu, here is the first, rather big edition, of The Digest.
Happenings this past week.
- Launch Center Pro announced:
Looking forward to this, but can't seem to tell if this will be a free update or an entirely new app?
- WWDC 2012:
Apple's yearly WWDC was this past week and MacStories has it's usual fantastic coverage.

One of my favorite iPhone apps received a huge update, and one of my favorite writers wrote this excellent review of it.
- Apple is to remove Ping from the next version of iTunes:
This is huge news :)
- Time Magazine to offer their magazine in Apple's iOS Newsstand:
It was only a matter of time. Pun intended, I suppose.
On The Horizon
What to expect next week.
- Scam School Book 2 release:
I love the show, but never got around to buying the first book. Along with the Book 2 release, the first book will be dropped to just $0.99.
Gems in the Rough
The best links, sites, videos, and things you should see from this past week.

An incredibly interesting tale.

A nice hands-on post with a bunch of pictures of some of the new things that were not featured in the Keynote.
- The "Little Things in iOS 6" MacRumors forum thread:
I enjoy checking in on this every once in a while to see if there's anything that I missed.

Apple has updated their Mountain Lion pages with this one, detailing every single new feature in the OS release, if you'd like to read it.

Also how it dies.

For your listening pleasure. I quite like it.
