Passbook Passes, and How To Make Your Own
/
iOS 6 brought a great new app to the iPhone called Passbook. It's a neat and great-looking way to keep all of your various digital passes, coupons, and cards in a single place. As of writing this, there aren't that many apps that support it — Target being one of the only big ones — but many developers are promising updates to include Passbook support in their apps soon — like Starbucks, for example.
If you run your own small business, however, (or anything else that could benefit from having a pass in Passbook) here is a great video that shows you how you can make your own pass. You don't need any coding knowledge, nor even an app in the app store. This is incredibly nifty and will be extremely useful for small business that would want this sort of thing.
Apple does not officially support the service, but as of now it seems like they don't have any problems with it existing. Nor should they, quite honestly. They should be supporting this. Or even buying it an making it an official thing. Again, this is a great thing for small businesses to use. And it's just so darned cool.
