$50 to iTunes — July 2012
/What would a hypothetical $50 to iTunes every month get you? Quite a lot of great stuff, actually. Here are some suggestions…
1. The Dark Knight Rises Deluxe Edition soundtrack — $13.99
Hans Zimmer has done it again. Another epic movie score. Get the deluxe edition for only $2 more for a few more tracks and a decent remix. Full review, by the way, over here.
2. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows in HD — $19.99
No, it ain't cheap, but this is the kind of movie that you should really own. Comes with behind-the-scenes iTunes Extras too. It's incredibly fun to watch, and many liked it better than the first. Both are great.
3. Sherlock, Season 2 in HD — $19.99
So, so worth the money. A lot of Holmes, I know, but this is some of the best TV you'll ever see, especially if you're any sort of Sherlock Holmes fan. The show is a breathtaking interpretation of the old classic and is without question even better than the movies, trading action for sheer intelligence. The second season was released in the US only a short while ago and soon after made its way to iTunes.
4. An episode of Suits — $2.99
Take your pick. Best show of the summer, hands down. Now in its second season. Any episode will be a good one that you'll want to watch and re-watch.
GRAND TOTAL: $56.96
Yeah, went a bit crazy this first time and went a bit over $50, but if you buy the regular edition of the Batman soundtrack or leave out that Suits episode, it'll bring down your total. And hey, who cares if we go a tad over? This is all just imaginary money anyway, right?
